Most blogs post reviews or swatches/looks of the day, or maybe some news on upcoming lines. I used to follow all of that fairly closely. In the past year or so I've simplified my make up routine a lot and have recently come to think about getting rid of some stuff. I considered doing a project 10 pan on my own, but getting rid of just 10 items doesn't seem like enough, and I don't like the idea of restricting myself if there is something I do want. (After all, Bath and Body Works' semi-annual sale is only about a month away!) The concept is much more about getting rid of what I don't need. Yes, the B+BW Temptations line is discontinued and I'll never be able to buy this scent again. But that doesn't mean that I should hang on to it forever -- I can probably find something very similar through Philosophy or Bodycology or even a random unknown line.

Bear in mind that the idea is more towards using up than selling/trading -- obviously some products that are harder to use up such as nail polishes or eyeshadows that I don't feel any reason to keep any longer will be put into this category, but most things I'm looking to use up.

In the spirit of cleaning out, I've decided to count up my beauty products. I know that these numbers might seem small to some, but to me it also seems slightly unnecessary to have this many of this. Ideally, I'd love to cut all of these numbers in half in six months, but I doubt that'll happen.

Body washes - 20. These vary in size from 2oz to 12+oz.
Lotions - 12. Again, these vary in size from 2oz to 10+oz. (I think 10oz is the largest however).
Nail Polish - 27
Perfumes - 16
Concealers 2 (and a half, as one came with a stick to use underneath it)
Lip glosses - 60. This is the one that seems ridiculous to me!
Eye shadows - 10 single and 2 palettes (one with 4 shadows, the other with 8)
Eye liner - 1
Foundation/Tinted Moisturizer - 1
